She is born to a music family with her mom a classical singer Meenakshi Iyer and she started singing for her step dad / music director Santhosh Narayanan. Her two album songs she did with him ‘Ey Sandakara‘ and ‘Usuru Narumbuley‘ made her noticed. Here she made a bang and should be thankful to the music director Yuan and Dhanush for its success.
